Thanksgiving

Okay the update has been too long in coming but here comes Thanksgiving! The nurses from clinic wanted to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for us since it is not a Holiday and we all had to work. We all worked together to prepare a true American Thanksgiving feast and a wonderful time was had by all. Food included Roast Leg of Lamb, Turkey, stuffing and gravy. Southern cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, homemade cranberry relish, roast vegetables, steamed asparagus broccoli green beans with garlic butter and slivered almonds and three wonderful green salads included drunken pear salad, French bread. Then there was dessert--pumpkin pie with marscapone cheese and gingersnap crust, apple pies with marscapone cream, homemade pavlova with kiwi and strawberries and cream, brownies, ice cream etc........and fantastic wines!

Kathy and Dave's Visit

Kathy is a coffee junkie too! She and Dave enjoyed a whirlwind tour of NZ and are on their way to Sydney before returning home this week!
Kathy was the first to try the talking loo-- a male voice actually says"push the button to lock the door" and "your time limit is 10mins." This is on Paekakariki beach on Kapiti Coast.
